Canada has announced a major $20.3 million investment to establish the Quantum Defence Innovation Secure Hub (DISH) in Calgary. Defence Minister David McGuinty said the initiative will help accelerate the development of quantum technologies for military and national security applications. The University of Calgary-led consortium will focus on quantum sensing, communications, algorithms and hardware assurance to strengthen Canada’s defence capabilities and technological sovereignty.
