China's Ministry of Science and Technology: Gene-editing is forbidden

China's Ministry of Science and Technology said human genetic modification, allegedly undertaken by an embryologist in south China's Guangdong Province, is banned under the Chinese law. Chinese authorities sent an investigation team to the hospital where the two babies in question were allegedly born.
