China's universities now dominate top science, engineering fields, deepening its grip on indust

In Western governments' attempts to relocate key supply and industrial chains to North America and Europe, formidable obstacles are now evident in higher education.

Chinese universities dominate the most important fields of study across the hard sciences and engineering. To challenge China in the key industries such as energy, telecommunications, nanotechnology, quantum computing, mining, transportation, and materials science, the United States and Europe are already far behind in the race for future talent. Chinese universities are of higher quality at a far lower cost, and will be the first choice for international students in engineering and scientific disciplines.
