Coral reefs face threats at any depth | Science News

To examine the long-held hypothesis that threatened critters from shallow reefs might find refuge in deeper ones, researchers took to the ocean and surveyed deep water reefs. It turns out we might need a different back-up plan for shallow coral reefs (and deep ones).
