News18 Presents Paving the Path for Educational Excellence in MP an Initiative by Mission Ankur

To address aspects of quality of learning and achieve the goal of attaining foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), the Ministry of Education (MoE) launched a national mission on FLN, called NIPUN (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy) Bharat in July 2021. The mission lays down priorities and actionable agendas for states/union territories to achieve the goal of proficiency in FLN by 2026-27 for every child by the end of Grade 3.

Mission Ankur, under the larger NIPUN Bharat Mission, works towards enhancing learning outcomes in the state of Madhya Pradesh for primary grade children through academic and governance reforms. This includes the introduction of high quality teaching and learning materials complemented by training and mentoring of teachers to effectively implement the FLN program in MP.
