Deadly Myanmar quake toll rising | Thailand races to free trapped workers | IDF strikes Beirut
The death toll in Myanmar after yesterday's earthquake has climbed past a thousand - that number is likely to rise significantly. The military junta has called for international assistance.
The 7.7 magnitude quake struck near the city of Mandalay followed by a series of aftershocks. Tremors were felt across the region - in China, Vietnam and Thailand.
Israel conducts the first air strike on Beirut's southern suburbs since a ceasefire came into force in November. The IDF says it struck Hezbollah targets. French President Emmanuel Macron said Israel needs to respect ceasefire.
