Two Sessions 2018: China to Improve Higher Education, Optimize Educational Structure

China will improve its higher education and optimize the educational structure for better talent development, said Chen Baosheng, Chinese Minister of Education, on Friday.

Commenting on a recent Asian university rankings list that includes 101 Chinese universities, Chen made the remarks at a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC).

The list was released by Times Higher Education (THE) early February and 350 universities were on the list. The number of Chinese universities entering the list continued to grow, from 87 last year to 101 in 2018, including 39 among the top 100.
