Xi Underlines China's Self-reliance in Science, Technology While Visiting Wuhan

Chinese President Xi Jinping has stressed that the Chinese people must have the lifeline of science and technology firmly in their own hands and make the country's development more independent, self-reliant and secure.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made an inspection tour to Wuhan, the capital city of central China's Hubei Province, on Tuesday.
